What is RMS? :

Rashtriya Military Schools(RMS) are category 'A' schools and where established in 1952 on public lines and admissions were made open to the sons of defense service officers and civilians. In 1954 the school became a member of the Indian public school conference(IPSC) and continues to be active members to date.

RMS takes admission in class 6th and 9th among its five branches (Chail, Bangalore, Dholpur, Belgaum, Ajmer) through all India common entrance test.

Eligibility:

• Candidate (only boys) aged between 10-12 years are eligible for the RMS entrance exam in class 6th and boys between 13-15 years are eligible for the RMS entrance exam in class 9th.

• For class 6th, no previous education qualification is mandatory, for class 9th candidate should have passed class 8th from a government/recognized school before the date of admission to RMS. 

However, a student studying in class 8th are eligible to appear in entrance exam for class 9th.

Application Forms:

 Applications Forms. The prospectus and Application forms can be filled ONLINE on (official website) or order from any of the Rashtriya Military Schools by paying Rs 550/-( Rs 275/- in case of SC/ST, copy of the Caste certificate to be submitted).Application form can also be obtained through by post forwarding self-addressed slip and Rs 600/-(Rs 325/-for SC/ST including Rs 50/- Postage Charge) Applicants to forward self-address for Prospectus and application form along with Demand Draft for the amount payable at respective Rashtriya Military School ( in favor of " Principal, Rashtriya Military School") ALL APPLICATIONS WILL ONLY ROUTED THROUGH RASHTRIYA MILITARY SCHOOLS. All details pertaining to the list of Exam Centers etc are given in the Application form.
